Scythia Films Announces the Premiere of ‘The Apprentice’ at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival
Scythia Films is thrilled to announce Ali Abbasi's THE APPRENTICE will be premiering at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival!
Written by Gabriel Sherman, THE APPRENTICE is a dive into the underbelly of the American empire. It charts a young Donald Trump’s ascent to power through a Faustian deal with the influential right-wing lawyer and political fixer Roy Cohn.
Starring Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier) as Donald Trump, Jeremy Strong (Succession) as Roy Cohn and Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm) as Ivana Trump.
A Canadian-Irish-Danish co-production.
Producers are Daniel Bekerman for Scythia Films (Canada), Jacob Jarek for Profile Pictures (Denmark), Ruth Treacy and Julianne Forde for Tailored Films (Ireland), alongside Abbasi and Louis Tisne for Film Institute (Denmark).
